I've also rebooted, recreated the document, and reinserted the pages in different locations. I finally recreated a whole new PDF file, and appended the documents from scratch.
That seemed to work, but is not efficient. I have to download these PDF files from a State website every month. Then I have to append them together, "set destination" for each document, and email them to our staff. What I've done in the past was to just replace the old expired documents with the new downloaded ones. Never had a problem until now.
I'm definetly not pushing the system too far, as these are small files, and there's nothing unusual about them.

In which operating system is this occuring? Also, can you tell if this is happening with every PDF that is opened in that computer or just with one particular PDF? PS -- I'm sorry to hear that. I thought Generation X was a lost cause.
